On the last Sunday of July each year, the Brotherhood of King René’s Wine Waiters organize the Aix-en-Provence Wine Festival. This is a chance to taste the local wines in the warmth of the famous Cours Mirabeau boulevard.
From 11 a.m. onwards, enjoy the busy street life in front of the charming old houses along the famous Cours Mirabeau boulevard in Aix-en-Provence. Since 1985, the Brotherhood of King René’s Wine Waiters have organized the Aix-en-Provence Wine Festival here. It’s an enchanting location where you can discover, with your wine-tasting glass, the diversity and the elegance of the whites, reds and rosés from the hillsides of Aix-en-Provence. About 40 wine producers and cooperative wine cellars have stalls at the festival, alongside other local producers selling olive oils, the famous almond-shaped local sweets known as calissons, as well as honey, fruit and vegetables, and more besides.
